Living in a Skinny World...

'Cause we are living in a skinny world, and I am a big girl...

Ok, not quite the words of Madonna's classic 1985 song, but a slight tweaking of the lyrics reflects the way I see the world. The way the world is to me. The way the world is to many big girls who are living in a skinny world.

I hope this blog is a place where big girls can find solace, strength, love, and encouragement because it's tough being a big girl in a skinny world.

A little about me: I am 28 years old. I am a third year law student/wanna-be lawyer. I am a "California" girl. I am married. I have the cutest dog in the world. I am a big girl living in a skinny world.

I was inspired to write this blog because I know there are so many girls out there that can relate to the hardships I encounter being a big girl in a skinny world. After one too many secret journal entries, I decided to get some balls, and post my thoughts and feelings online...for the world to see. I don't want any sympathy for the fact that I am a big girl in a skinny world, but it would be nice for people to understand that underneath it all, I am a person who lives, breathes, bleeds, and feels. And there's many more of "me" out there.

So girls (and guys) feel free to post encouraging thoughts, comments, stories, pictures, etc.
